Dryer Repair

We repair standard, compact, ventless, and laundry centre dryers in Calgary. If your dryer isn't heating, takes too long to dry, or shuts off mid-cycle, we'll take a look and explain what needs to be done before we fix anything.

Common Dryer Problems

Clothes dryer

Dryers usually give you signs when something's wrong, even if they're still running. Here are the most common dryer problems we see:

  • Not heating
  • Takes too long to dry
  • Drum not spinning
  • Loud noise
  • Shuts off mid-cycle

If you're dealing with any of these, we'll find the cause and fix it.

Diagnosing the Problem

When a dryer stops working, it's not always clear why. If it's not heating, it could be a heating element, a thermostat, or a thermal fuse. If the drum isn't turning, it can be a broken belt or a motor problem. If it's making unusual noise, it could be worn rollers or a failing idler pulley. Longer dry times or shutting off mid-cycle can be caused by restricted airflow.

We run the dryer to see if it's a heating problem, an airflow restriction, a mechanical issue, or an electrical fault. We explain what's happening, what needs to be done, and whether any parts are needed. If we have the part with us, we take care of it during the visit. If not, we order it and come back to complete the repair.

Our Repair Process

Scheduling a dryer repair service call

Book a Service Call

Give us a call to schedule a visit at a time that works for you. We'll ask a few quick questions about what your dryer is doing so we have a better idea of what to check when we arrive.

Checking dryer to find the problem

Diagnosis During the Visit

We check the dryer under normal operation to see what's happening. Some problems only show up during certain parts of the cycle, and running diagnostic mode lets us see where it's happening.

Reviewing dryer repair estimate

Estimate and Approval

Once we have an answer, we give you a full estimate for parts and labour. No work starts until you approve it, and the service call is waived with the repair.

Completing dryer repair and testing

Repair and Testing

We complete the repair and then run the dryer to make sure it's fixed. Before we leave, we go over the repair with you.

Give us a call or fill out our contact form and we'll get back to you.

Warranty

Dryer repairs are covered for 90 days on both parts and labour.

  • Coverage applies only to the repair that was done
  • If the same issue comes back within 90 days, we return and fix it
  • Any parts installed during the repair are included
  • Labour for that repair is also included
  • If a part needs to be ordered, we come back to install it once it arrives

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you offer same-day dryer repair?

Same-day appointments are available when scheduling allows. Earlier calls have a better chance of getting a spot.

  • Do you give an estimate before starting the repair?

Yes, we go through the dryer first, then give you a full estimate before any work is done.

  • How much does dryer repair cost?

It depends on what's wrong. We check it first and give you the full estimate before we fix anything, so you know exactly what it's going to cost.

  • What brands do you repair?

We repair most major dryer brands, including Whirlpool, LG, GE, Samsung, Maytag, Frigidaire, Bosch, and Blomberg.

  • Is it better to repair or replace a dryer?

Most of the time, repairing the dryer makes more sense than replacing it. If it's not worth fixing, we'll let you know.

  • How long does a dryer repair take?

Most dryer repairs take about an hour to complete. If a part needs to be ordered, we come back to install it once it arrives.
